We have access to two major railroads, the Union Pacific and the Norfolk Southern, which allows us to market Central Illinois commodities to domestic destinations and Mexico. 

AgRail is a full service grain elevator that buys grain from farmers and elevators. We offer grain drying, storage, and specialty marking contracts.

What is AgRail?

AgRail is a high-speed rail-grain terminal built in 1999 by a joint venture of eight Central Illinois country grain elevators.  The facility originates grain by truck and then ships rail to domestic destinations and Mexico.  We also work with various industries, helping them solve their transportation needs.

From whom does AgRail buy grain?

AgRail buys grain from country elevators and farmers.

What is the destination of the rail cars loaded at AgRail?

AgRail ships trains as large as 110 car shuttle trains to markets in Texas, Mexico, Arkansas, Illinois, and various states on the east coast.  Potential buyers of our grain include Pilgrims Pride, Tyson Foods, Wayne Poultry, ConAgra Foods, Cargill, ADM, Tate & Lyle, and numerous other processing and poultry destinations. We have access to both the Union Pacific RailRoad and the Norfolk Southern RailRoad
